Navage Nasal Care
I purchased a Navage Nasal Care unit, and absolutely love it. Much more pleasant than the Neti Pot. However I am wondering if there is any dangers of bacteria or disrupting the nasal cavity biosphere that might increase the risk of alzheimers? Love to get some opinions on this. https://www.amazon.co...

Statins and Dementia studies
I am not sure if this has been brought up before but I have seen a few studies that point to statins being protective against dementia. I think those studies should be viewed very skeptically due to the fact that most do not include drop outs from the study in their results. Quick math: 10,000 peopl...

Any correlation between statin intolerance and dementia?
Curious if there were any studies on risk of parkinsons or alzheimers for people who could not tolerate statins.
Logic being that statin intolerance is mostly caused by memory issues or muscle issues which means the statin is crossing the BBB.
And leaky BBB tends to be a factor for dementia.

Rat studies vs Humans
I have a question that I wonder if someone can help me with? I was surprised to learn that less than 50% of the drugs that work on mice eventually translate to actually working in humans. Since most drugs get tested on mice first, what happens to all the drugs that start out not working in mice but ...

Looking for some help in helping understand polygenic score?
Trying to get a handle on how to determine the risk of a disease based on ones polygenic score.
If I am in the 99% percentile for a particular disease with a 1.6 polygenic score and the odds of the disease is 2% in general population. Can I determine my odds of getting the disease?

Do Omega 3 Eggs have Phopholipids?
Curious if anyone knows if Omega 3 eggs have Omega 3 in Phospholipds form and how does that compare to Krill Oil?
Saw a thread about it here, but still confused on the consensus.

Re: Still trying to make sense if it is worth APOE4 to get a vaccine for Shingles and VZV?
Does anyone have any concerns that none of the Alzheimer/vaccine studies were done with Shingrix but with Zostavax which a different type of vaccine? "FDA licensed Shingrix (GSK), a recombinant shingles vaccine on October 20, 2017; therefore, most Shingrix-vaccinated subjects are not included i...

Curious what everyone is thinking on this.
Do you favor Shingrix or Zostavax or both?
