Re: Introduction and Help With ApoE4 Diet

Hi Sabby, I hope your week is off to a good start! I just wanted to check in with you to see if you have been able to explore any of the resources on the site or if you have been able to find some answers to the questions you posed on your post. You already seem very knowledgeable and aware of the i...

Re: Cholesterol drives Alzheimer's plaque formation

Interesting. From what I understood, cholesterol in the brain is only a problem when efflux is hampered as is often the case with E4s. Re: Introduction and Help With ApoE4 Diet

Is there anything I can eat besides avocados, olive oil, oily fish, shellfish, lean meat, egg whites, fat free dairy, and non-starchy...

Re: Welcome!!!

Kia Ora I live in New Zealand but am originally from Slovenia (Europe). Unfortunately, in NZ you can't just get your genes tested nor you can ask for other more complicated blood tests (vitamins, toxicity etc). If you are 55 like me, you are not even considered in danger to develop Alzheimer's. How...

Re: Unfortunate side effect from melatonin.

Melatonin was recommended by my doctor, starting with 5mg in the evening. When it didn't seem to help my sleep, I upped it to 10mg. Now it seems that 1mg is the correct dose. I have had persistent, debilitating diarrhea for five weeks, worse in the morning, as others reported. Multiple fecal and bl...

Re: The First Survivors of Alzheimer's

This is my first post on this forum. My question is for Julie G. I just finished reading Dr. Bredensen's newest book The First Survivors of Alzheimer's . I have read all 3 of his books. My Dad passed away in 2018 from Alzheimer's. By the time Dr. Bredensen came on the scene it was too late for my D...
