Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
Thanks. However, this is kind of what I mean. The leaky brain and inflammation bit needs to be added! One more thing from the Cannabinoids wiki, under the subheading Cannabinoids and Sleep is a paragraph that implies that the THC may lead to leaky brain, which in turn leads to neuroinflammation. THC...

Re: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
Wow, what a fantastic wealth of links here! (This is another subject I’ve been researching) The CRP bit is totally new to me, as are a couple other points. quote=TheresaB post_id=68314 time=1560903667 user_id=646] Look into carnivore/zero carb diets. It may possibly save your brain. Meatsavesbrains ...

Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
Thank you Theresa, Those look like excellent links. Not sure if I’ve read them before, but will look through them now and see what I think. At first look, they seem to be what I’m looking for. No offence meant at the wiki at all. Very grateful for the work that’s gone into it. I still certainly rais...

Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
Hi everyone, I was seeking some clarification after reading Chris Palmer’s book Brain Energy. His thesis seems to be basically that mental health = metabolic health and a very common cause of ill health in both realms is mitochondrial dysfunction, which can often the alleviated by a ketogenic diet. ...

Guy is 3/4. Made me pause for thought as I appear to be similar to him in some respects.
N = 1 but thought I’d share. Some great replies to him from some folk people here will know.

Think I need to download the supplementary info, read more carefully and/or put some of these into snpedia. Not sure on any of the affect sizes or the reliability of the samples. Looks like there’s a wealth of info here.

Thanks a lot to both of you for your warm kind replies. I’ll try doing a better search on this site. I hadn’t done this as extensively as you suggest.

Statins and memory (esp. in younger middle age)
Hello everyone, I’ve had a look round the boards, but couldn’t see much info on this (though statins itself is discussed quite a lot). I’ve been researching statin use and memory problems in e4s (I’m 3/4). I’ve always had high cholesterol, and about 7 years ago was put in simvastatin (I’m 42 years o...
