Re: hello from a 2/4 doc
I'm impressed. That's very creative!
A neighbor and I were talking about it and she laughed and said, "Yeah, where we live an inipi (sweat lodge) is easier to find than a sauna!" We both laughed because it is true. It is just a lot more labor intensive to fire up an inipi...

I lucked upon a 4 lamp array already made and have tried a few variations on how to use it without much satisfaction. I only have one ba...

Re: Master class on insulin resistance

I have read a little on this. I do IF but my window starts later in the morning. Will give this a try and see if anything shi...

Re: Considering statin for high CRP amidst good cardio labs
On the more concerning side, I heard that statins cause insulin resistance. I haven't yet looked into this. Do all forms do this? Is it inevitable based on their mechanism of action, or does it depend on the patient? I'll have to see if I can learn more. I definately don't want insulin resistance. ...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!
FWIW, I've been honored to help Dr. Bredesen create his diet, KetoFLEX 12/3, which is a summary of my dietary approach. You can learn more about it here. Yes, am definitely following 12/3. Usually more like 14/3. It is a very comfortable pattern for me, especially when the garden starts flooding me...

Re: Pickles and other beneficial foods...?
I would like to refresh this thread. surely there is more info in this group now on ferments. I made a large batch of fermented garlic this last fall and have enjoyed it all winter. (peel, then chop cloves in food processor, cover with water, add bacteria, let sit on counter until taste shifts from ...

Re: Embracing the ApoE Wild Type Cuisinart: The Mortar and Pestle
A friend was telling me today that she roasts cardamom seeds and then M&P's them with salt to make Cardamom salt. sounded so delish.
