Re: Tramiprosate: a silver bullet for 4/4 carriers?
Julie, do you mind sharing what brand of homataurine you purchased? This is the only supplement source I'm aware of, and all that have posted here about taking it are using this source, as far as I'm aware. See this thread. This is not an endorsement of this source's product, just the only one I'm ...

Re: Is there research showing benefit of low fat diet for apoe4 phenotype?
Very interesting. So when someone is in ketosis it looks like LDL spikes and, based on that, it makes sense that lowering fat intake would result in lower LDL numbers. In your experience, do LDL levels to fat metabolism describe a linear relationship or is there a threshold amount of fat intake (or...

Re: Is there research showing benefit of low fat diet for apoe4 phenotype?
3) @Plumster offered some evidence that low fat (and otherwise healthy) diet could help reduce LDL cholesterol, My personal experience is that my LDL is lower on low fat diets. I did that consistently for ~15 years, stopping around 15 years ago. My last test, in 2007 was Total 149 mg/dL, LDL 92 mg/...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector
Ah, darn, I'm sorry to hear that. When do you take your last dose of the day? It was earlier in the day. Thank you for this! I will pay very close attention to timing. I was doing 150mg (3 pills) morning and then later. Trying to do 100 mg three times wasn't happening as my daily life schedule is a...

My non T1 two cents. Have moderate sleep apnea (14.7 events per hour) and lobbying for a CPAP that Kaiser didn't approve. Have you tried taping your mouth during sleep? It can, in many mild to moderate sleep apnea cases, dramatically reduce the number of events. In this post there are three heart ra...

Re: Aluminum as a causal factor of Alzheimer's - Introduction of myself to the community
Had a consult on my 24 hour urine iodine test in this post and the mineral hair analysis (heavy metals shown in this post ). The consultant said my body was not holding onto any of the iodine I've been taking. He said this was indicative that my sodium iodide symporters weren't working. In the iodin...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector
It seems that since homotaurine is tolerated with minimal side effects, outside of nausea for 20-25% of users, there is little downside risk to taking 300 mg of homotaurine per day while we await final study results coming next year. Is that your take as well? I have had no problems with the 200 mg...

So it is hard to know how he decided that the lecanemab didn't slow cognitive decline in women, especially because of. the charts from that Supplementary material shown below, all of which show that the 95% confidence interval of the mean of all results favors lecanemab in women--on cognitive and d...
