Re: Osteoarthritis

Very interesting JD2020. Can you explain the procedure and what you went thru with the injection? I was told about it, but I figured injections don't work. Did the pain immediately go away or did you have to wait for weeks to feel better? When Theresa had her stem cell procedure, in the pre-op meet...

Re: Osteoarthritis

[ Actually according to my meter my blood sugar behaves well but when it's time for the A1C it never goes down, and I've been trying for 10 years. it's always between 5.4 and 5.8 no matter what I do. I will read the info very carefully and see where it takes me. That might be a different issue. For...

Re: Osteoarthritis

Without going into a rabbit hole can you recommend a way to start I do Intermittent Fasting 16-8 most days with some days 18-6. Also, I can't lose more weight. I'm at 106 lbs at 5.6. Whatever you can recommend will be appreciated. To make things worse money is an issue. I'm E3/4 and struggling with...

Do they live in the area, where they could bring Charlie for visits (if allowed)?

Re: Hack for falling back asleep in middle of the night

It's not a 100% for him, but it's helping. It isn't 100% for me either. I normally go to sleep pretty quickly, but commonly wake up in the early morning and have a hard time returning to sleep. When this happens, I routinely go to our basement so I don't disturb my wife. I will also throw on a beat...

Re: ApoE4/4 may have greater risk of COVID brain microvascular injury and neuroinflammation

I found Dr. Gundry’s abstract here . My 4/4 wife & I are Gundry patients and have had a fair number of PULS tests. Many things can drive changes in the tests. In our case, adding in A2 milk upped my wifes IL-16 by a factor of 10 and doubled (? from memory) my IL-16. These dropped back to baseli...

Re: Embracing the ApoE Wild Type Cuisinart: The Mortar and Pestle

I'd love to hear how others use this ancestral kitchen tool. I have one, but have only used it for meds in my DIY compounding pharmacy, not foods. May have to try it! On the humor side, I was looking up using the food processor as was preparing a large quantity of (Gundry compliant) millet dressing...

Re: Should I get a CGM

Tincup, Is there a simple formula for roughly figuring out Zone 2 HR as opposed to VO2max? I have listened to to Peter Attia podcast and trying to implement 30 minutes/2 times a week of zone 2 on my stationary bike with a guesstimate of HR 112-122 for a fit 64 YO? I love the Data Driven information...

Re: Should I get a CGM

Tincup, Thanks again for the great info. I will study and implement. Hopefully this will help my BG. On the Data Driven Fasting, what they do is have you track your glucose BEFORE meals and upon waking for 3 days. Then they calculate a blood glucose target. You are then encouraged to not eat until ...

Re: Should I get a CGM

Has anyone here tried the Data Driven Fasting? I have as a way to improve my blood sugar. I did not need to lose weight and have been keto adapted since 2009. I have helped my morning fasting BG, pre meal BG and especially post meal spikes. The other thing that has helped is to follow my evening an...
