Re: Statins and Dementia studies

I have tested my sterols twice and avoided statin use until this year. I decided after listening to Peter Attia and seeing a preventative cardiologist during which a Carotid artery scan showed plaque so we went from prevention to treatment. I started ezetimibe after my first sterol test which showed...

Re: DHA amounts

There are plenty of DHA supplements with 500mg/ish DHA around, I like the High elite dose figuring if I as a 3/4 if I do not absorb it well in the brain at least some should get thru. I do not notice bleeding problems and I do try to eat a lot of fish too. Anyway I like Carlson, Thorne, Nordic Natur...

Re: Should I get a CGM

Tincup, Is there a simple formula for roughly figuring out Zone 2 HR as opposed to VO2max? I have listened to to Peter Attia podcast and trying to implement 30 minutes/2 times a week of zone 2 on my stationary bike with a guesstimate of HR 112-122 for a fit 64 YO? I love the Data Driven information ...

Re: Creating a successful case to my Dr for a CGM and Rapamycin

I get 60 tabs (12 weeks worth at 5 mg/week) for $104 from the Amazon Pharmacy where Dr Green called in the RX-(approx $1.75/mg) very affordable considering what I pay for other supplements and I am comfortable with using a US pharmacy. I have not gotten the sirolimus from any other source. When I ca...

Re: Creating a successful case to my Dr for a CGM and Rapamycin

My husband and I just saw Dr Green last week. We get our Sirolimus thru the Amazon Pharmacy for about $30/month (in 3 month quantities) with a 5mg/week dose. I started the Rapamycin earlier in the summer from another MD but was on the east coast, so had a quick trip to NYC to consult with Dr Green a...

Re: Podcast: Julie Andersen talks about urolithin-A’s potential to prevent and treat neurodegenerative diseases

I wanted to tell you about my N-1 experiment so far with urolithin-A. I listened to the podcast with Julie Andersen. I have been dealing with Benign Essential Tremor (BET) that has gotten progressively worse over the last 10 years and as a consequence I had to step away from my profession as an acup...
