Re: Zinc picolinate supplement timing

I have been doing mineral balancing through my naturopath for over 10 years. Looking through my results over time I notice my zinc to copper ratio has usually remained at approximately 1:1, more often copper being lower than zinc when the ratio has changed. Now that I am following the Bredesen Proto...

Re: Both High (>10.6) and Low (<8.9) Homocysteine May Increase the Risk of AD

I have been as high as 12 when not taking methylated B12 but have only gotten to 9.6 with methylated B12. All my other metabolic numbers and ratios are very good. My Bredesen practitioner wants homocysteine much lower. Homocysteine is normally recycled by the MTR (which uses B12) enzyme and BHMT (w...

Re: Check out our new podcast

Yes. I saw that too.I would have thought though, that you were so well optimized before taking Prodrone Neuro that your plasmalogens would have already been high?

Re: Check out our new podcast

Thank you , Tincup, for correcting me. I had, in fact, listened carefully to the podcast, twice, but my scientific knowledge and ability to speak or write precisely is poor. I try extra hard but … alas! For me, it’s hard. After spending 10 years with limited success keeping family members with AD an...

Re: Check out our new podcast

Hi all! Check out our latest podcast, a continuation of my earlier discussion with Dayan Goodenowe, PhD, about plasmalogens as they relate to cognition for ApoE4 carriers specifically. Dr. Goodenowe also shares the results from his clinical trial that he recently presented at the AAIC. It was a fas...

Re: Has Ivermectin Been Looked at as Treatment Possibility?

I used to use ivermectin for my sheep for parasites, which is common. However, over time the parasites become immune to it. Perhaps since humans don’t normally use it for themselves, perhaps it might work at first for parasites, viruses, or other insults, but long term use might turn out to be ineff...

Re: Gene Therapy Trial for ApoE4 Homozygotes

Thank you NF52 for responding so quickly. It really is remarkable that the Cornell study has had early success in 40 percent of people so far. And you are likely correct in pointing to undiagnosed diabetes and heart disease as setting the stage for AD in my relatives as well. Lately I am considering...

Re: Gene Therapy Trial for ApoE4 Homozygotes

This study is confusing to me. My sister, grandmother and great grandmother all died from AD with ApoE2/4. My mother had AD with ApoE 3/4 and had AD as well. You could say it was because of their lifestyles and diets, which could be true with my grandmother and great grandmother, meat and potato and...
