I've recently started on 2.5mg mounjaro for weight and noticing some less anxiety and depression, it is early days but I will see how it goes with memory etc. have lost 2kgs already but that is Ok I needed to

Thanks! It's been a bit of a worry. I've been advised to exercise and stay social etc, so going to go swimming later.

I asked for my scan results, but haven't spoken to the doctors yet, It looks Ok though I think.
"There is occasional mildly prominent sulcus but taking this into account there is no convincing patent of hypometabolism to suggest evidence of a neurodegenerative disorder from this test".

Thanks for the reply Lindsay, I've had the scan and just waiting for the results now. they are going to discuss it in a meeting before letting me know. We went away for a few days holiday which was nice.

On checking the referral it is actually the FDG-PET they are sending me for. Thank you for the kind reply.

Thanks! Yes, I'm on HRT already. they asked about that when referring me to the memory clinic (if it had changed anything). It hasn't unfortunately.

I got the referral through for the PET scan and it does not specify what type, also it says the atrophy is 'out of proportion to her age' so that answers my question.

Just to update this, I have had the memory clinic appt and they did not find significant memory loss but due to the mild atrophy have recommended a PET scan. They seem unsure if it is normal to have mild atrophy at my age- anyone know? I'm not sure yet what kind of scan, a glucose or amyloid one but...
