Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
Thank you NF52 for your reply. Those are some scary charts for E44s, 80% amyloid positivity at age 65. So much higher than the other groups. Do you happen to know the conversion formula from SUVR to centiloids? Also, I was asking about the amyloid blood test, The AB42/40 ratio in blood (plasma). For...

Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
When I was being evaluated for the study they said I qualified to have a brain amyloid PET scan based on my amyloid blood test (amyloid 42/40 ratio). My PET scan result was < 20 centiloids so I did not qualify to proceed further in the study, as I mentioned in an earlier post. But I was worried abou...

Re: Celebration Thread! Biogen is going to the FDA with Aducan.
I would think that the pre-MCI microdosing that I am suggesting would decrease on label risk by an order of magnitude. It already does not seem to demonstrate sound clinical judgment to wait and wait and then treat with the maximal clinically tolerated dose. I hope there is efficacy with pre-MCI tr...

Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
There’s an alternative with BETTER results, benign side-effects, and no deaths vs the 3 deaths that have been alleged to leqembi. Screenshot 2023-01-21 153935.jpg I don't think we can directly compare the data from the article cited in the bar graph above (by Toups etal) with the lecanemab study. F...

Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
Hi, I did ask about the MRI sequences used in the study and the study coordinator did not know the exact sequences, he just said he was sure they would be the most sensitive to detect hemorrhages, so the question of whether MP-RAGE is being used is still unanswered. NF52 is working on an answer to t...

Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
Julie, I hope your mother is recovering well. I know she is fortunate to have you as her advocate. I have been reading the posts on this thread, and the ones about brain volume loss with lecanemab. I am not entirely convinced that the volume loss is not due to loss of amyloid. I don't think they can...

Re: CTAD 2022 -- Endgame for AD
Dis they compare the outcome of the E 4/4 with lecanemab to the E 4/4s on placebo? Or are they only compared to the placebo group as a whole?

Re: CTAD 2022 -- Endgame for AD
I wish there were mora data on the E 4/4s to try to explain the unexpected finding that they did worse than placebo. Were they more MCI and less early AD? What about age/sex/race/national origin? I also think the result is surprising.

Re: Lecanamab: Efficacy, Side Effects, and More
It is not clear whether the patient had ARIA. From what I read it was a stroke. When TPA is used after a stroke, it is only for non-hemorrhagic strokes and a CT or MRI is required before giving TPA, to exclude any hemorrhage because that would be a contraindication to TPA. So it would have been an i...
