Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

Rapamycin was found in the soil at Easter Island and was originally intended to be used as a cure for Athletes foot. Later, the immunosuppressive properties of Rapa were used to coat stents with heart attacks and to prevent organ transplant rejection. Further use of the drug has been for certain typ...

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

When I started this thread, my hope was that people would learn about this prophylactic therapy for AD. I am thrilled to see that some people on this forum have taken the initiative to become informed and take control of their lives. Rapamycin treats AGING as a disease and slows or restores the natu...

Re: New Research on Blood Brain Barrier and APOE4

Two years on 12mg Rapa weekly. It is a game changer. Cognitively and physically, I have never felt so good and I just turned 45. It really is a panacea for all diseases related to aging, including AD.

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

I decided not to take rapamycin ... mainly because I'd rather wait until an mTOR inhibitor is developed with a very short half-life, so that one could take it late in the evening and it would reinforce the natural mTOR rhythms of the body (lower – though not in all tissues – at night; higher during...

Re: New Research on Blood Brain Barrier and APOE4

Rapamycin is the anti-rejection drug that is cited. It can be used as a prophylactic to never develop AD. It also is an anti-aging drug to extend lifespan and keep one from developing cancer, Parkinson’s, etc. The drug is real and it works. In my opinion, Rapa is the greatest drug anyone could take ...

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

I am confident that anyone who takes Rapamycin intermittently before AD symptoms appear will never get AD (or cancer, diabetes, etc). I am not so confident that it will 100% prevent AD, but I started taking it too a couple of weeks ago. It just seems that the mechanism of action would be helpful in...

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

I’ve been taking Rapamycin, metformin and NAD+ for 8 months now. Yes, Rapa works. It’s incredible. All of my labs have improved or stayed the same. My memory is the best it has ever been. My skin, nails, gums, energy and cardiovascular ability or all like they were when I was 25. The visible changes...

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention

... following. I'm very interested in this topic. I know that Peter Attia take rapamycin too, as often mentions it as perhaps one of the most powerful anti-aging drugs available. Unfortunately, it's not easy to get. I'll be taking a look at Dr. Green's site. Thanks for the links! Have you contacted...

Re: Rapamycin prevents age-related brain vascular deterioration in rats

Here is Dr. Green’s site I live in AZ https://rapamycintherapy.com/ Look under ‘neurodegeneration’ too see Rapa’s ability to prevent AD in Apoe4 Dr. Green does not mandate you taking metformin with Rapa, but metformin is also used as an anti-aging and anti-cancer in off label use. I personally am ha...

Anyone taking NAD patches?

I saw an article about this doctor online who is now prescribing metformin, NAD patches and Rapamycin for longevity. These interventions are in line with AD prevention (decreasing inflammation, increasing mitochondrial production, autophagy, etc.) I am interested in trying NAD, not the precursor NMN...
