Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

I’ll read up, thank you!
One other thing to clarify, my ethanolamines (DHA/EPA) phosphatidycholine were good (80+%ile) from supplementing DHA, using ProdromeNuero and eating seafood. I'm pretty sure those results had little to do with my choline supplementation.

Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

You probably already know this, but not all phosphatidylcholine is the same...it contains choline along with attached fatty acids. If those fatty acids are Omega-3's, then they are useful to your brain. But the fatty acids in lecithin are not Omega-3's and so don't have the same benefits. Dr. Dayan...

Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

Phosphatidylcholine is super important for brain health, specifically in regulating the cell membranes, but it's not a good source of choline. Because there's only around 13% choline in phosphatidylcholine, I supplement both. Anybody else?

Re: Apoe4 /4 a new genetic variant of Alzheimer’s ??

A survey of apoe4.info user would be neither random nor imply that we are all following the same protocols, nor have the same demographics. It especially wouldn't show how many of us have elevated amyloid or tau. And having those would not predict at what age we might show cognitive symptoms. Great...

Re: Nigerian Alzheimer's Paradox?

I have read about the parasite theories but what exactly, in specific language do parasites do that supposedly help? From what I understand, E4 carriers have overly activated innate immune systems. Parasites "dampen" that effect (reducing inflammation/improving cognition) by giving our im...

Re: Let's solve ALZ. APOE4--Nature's/God's Original Design

I don't believe abeta causes AD only in E4s - Anyone can have assaults on the brain that could lead to damage and eventual AD. I'm thinking that E4s don't clean out the abeta and so have a double wammy. E4s need an especially good life style to avoid the abeta buildup in the first place. Beautifull...

Re: Let's solve ALZ. APOE4--Nature's/God's Original Design

Hi Julie. With the success of current trials, I'm thinking that ApoE4s may actually fit into the amyloid camp, whereas other variants who get AD would fall under Bredesen's multifactor causation model. Of course ApoE4's could be subject to both if their life styles have been poor... What leads you ...

Re: Let's solve ALZ. APOE4--Nature's/God's Original Design

Our American society appears specifically vulnerable to the deception a pill will fix a problem, that a pill will override structurally flawed (addictive) consumption habits. Great post. We all wish it were that easy! ApoE4 must have some redeeming qualities or it wouldn't evolutionarily still be a...

Re: talk about prevention strategies?

Below is a quote homocysteine from "Breaking Alzheimer’s: A 15 Year Crusade to Expose the Cause and Deliver the Cure" by Dayan Goodenowe, Chapter 19.
Amazing share, Tincup. I love the details of this stuff! Understanding the why helps us all refine our protocols.

Re: talk about prevention strategies?

Hit me with thoughts, advice, etc. Feel free to get technical if you want. I’m a biochemist working in a related field - though I feel like I know almost nothing useful and find it hard to keep up with the new developments. Hi there, fiver! Your regimen looks good. A few thoughts: -E4, in a dose de...
