Re: p-tau tracking discord group

I'm hoping to find other folks who are interested in tracking their tau levels.
Great idea. I'm certainly interested. Have you tested yet or identified the test you plan to use? I warmly invite you (and all) to keep the discussion here as opposed to branching off to a different site :D

Re: Charles Piller OpEd in July 7 NY Times

Mr. Piller didn't cite evidence that inflammation research is "starved" for federal Alzheimer's funding, or that researchers who don't focus on amyloid have no share of a "scientific mind" in Alzheimer's or related dementia research. Have you been able to preview the book manusc...

We need more truth seekers like Charles.
Agree, Thumperama. Thank you for sharing! The book is entitled "Doctored: Fraud, Arrogance, and Tragedy in the Quest to Cure Alzheimer's." You can pre-order it here.

Re: Vitamin A protects cognition in E4 carriers

JulieG and others - Does anyone know how much vitamin A is in Krill oil? Would Krill oil be a good source? (I know of someone who though she got vitamin A toxicity from too much Krill oil.) You took me down a rabbit hole! I wasn't even aware that krill oil contained any vitamin A as the majority of...

Re: sens.ai

This device combines neurofeedback with HRV training and photobiomodulation. No glue required. I've been getting promotional emails for a while, and a recent one caught my attention because it mentioned Dr. Bredesen.
FWIW, he is not associated in any way with this device.

Re: How I got enrolled in my first clinical trial in 4 days!

Thank you for sharing, June. It was so nice to meet you yesterday! This is an excellent resource for our community.

Please let us know if you'll qualify. I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to take part in the dual exercise/VR arm that has previously shown promise.

Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

I’ll read up, thank you!
One other thing to clarify, my ethanolamines (DHA/EPA) phosphatidycholine were good (80+%ile) from supplementing DHA, using ProdromeNuero and eating seafood. I'm pretty sure those results had little to do with my choline supplementation.

Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

You probably already know this, but not all phosphatidylcholine is the same...it contains choline along with attached fatty acids. If those fatty acids are Omega-3's, then they are useful to your brain. But the fatty acids in lecithin are not Omega-3's and so don't have the same benefits. Dr. Dayan...

Re: Any thoughts on lecithin (phosphatidylcholine)?

Phosphatidylcholine is super important for brain health, specifically in regulating the cell membranes, but it's not a good source of choline. Because there's only around 13% choline in phosphatidylcholine, I supplement both. Anybody else?

Re: Apoe4 /4 a new genetic variant of Alzheimer’s ??

A survey of apoe4.info user would be neither random nor imply that we are all following the same protocols, nor have the same demographics. It especially wouldn't show how many of us have elevated amyloid or tau. And having those would not predict at what age we might show cognitive symptoms. Great...
