Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women
Does anyone know what the current evidence is on using estriol vs estradiol cream. My doctor has prescribed an estriol/testosterone combo cream for me from the start. But in my search of studies for brain, bone, and cardiovascular health it seems they always use estradiol. I am trying to get some re...

Re: Why Such a High Baseline Glucose?
How can it be? Pre-diabetes? After wearing a cgm I got a surprise. My fasting glucose seems to hover between 100 and 110! Postprandial spikes are mostly around 140 with only a couple going to 150. That is only a delta of only around 30 which doesn’t seem horrible. But the high baseline has me stump...

Re: Why Such a High Baseline Glucose?
Kind of obvious, but I thought I would ask - are you putting the CGM in the correct spot? They only work in the underarm from what I was told. I was wearing it on the back of my upper arm...top of the tricep muscle. My glucose swings aren't huge (30-40 points). In fact, if you took my whole curve a...

Re: Sudden rise in glucose and insulin??
Have your doctor add on a free T4. Last year my TSH was high but they just repeated the TSH in a few months, when it came down it just under 5. This year TSH was high again but I had the T4 added on, confirming hypothyroidism. I need to post soon what a dramatic difference treatment of hypothyroidi...

Re: Sudden rise in glucose and insulin??
Well I just got the rest of my blood tests back and my TSH spiked quite high also. What in the world is going on? I can’t think of anything in my lifestyle or diet that has changed substantially.

Re: Sudden rise in glucose and insulin??
I was just thinking...it makes sense that dehydration could radically change glucose levels, but could it actually effect Hba1c (3 month marker) substantially? That's and interesting question, sandyt. Seems unlikely. I did a little bit of poking around on the internet and while and found this : HbA...

Re: Sudden rise in glucose and insulin??
A somewhat off the wall question: How well hydrated were you when the blood was taken? I noticed that if I am dehydrated (for instance after a particularly hot night) when I measure my morning glucose and ketones both are abnormally high, but if I drink 2 glasses of water and remeasure the numbers ...
