Re: Why Such a High Baseline Glucose?
I have an almost identical situation, with healthy eating, lots of exercise, healthy weight, but fasting glucose consistently over 100, almost never below 100 at any point in the day, even after fasted exercise. There's more to glucose levels than just what you eat. Some factors that contribute can...

Re: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
Theresa, the theory that "ApoE3 came about as an adaption when meat was introduced to the human diet" does not match up with current science relating to early man and meat: I did say it’s a theory, there’s a paper, I don’t have time to dig it up right now. I agree meat probably aided in t...

Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
There's the Cannabinoids and Inflammation subheading in the Cannabinoids et al wiki. If you have papers on THC and inflammation that's where it should go. Right now this section only offers papers on CBD as a possible inflammation attenuator.

Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction

Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
One more thing from the Cannabinoids wiki, under the subheading Cannabinoids and Sleep is a paragraph that implies that the THC may lead to leaky brain, which in turn leads to neuroinflammation. THC can help but might have negative effects in the long run. Of the two strains of marijuana that contai...

Re: Chris Palmer, THC and mitochondrial dysfunction
In this forum’s wiki, the evidence is all very positive on THC. I assume you’re referring to the wiki on Cannabinoids, Cannabidiol (CBD), THC, HEMP, Marijuana, Cannabis THC is just one cannabinoid discussed in that wiki article and it cites that because of it’s legal status, research into marijuana...

Re: My porridge recipe
Thanks for sharing, sounds delicious.
You know we have an ApoE4.info wiki Recipes from our members, that recipe would be a wonderful addition.
If unfamiliar with wiki editing, respond here and I can add the recipe for you if you'd like it to be added.

Want to understand aging better?
The number one risk factor for Alzheimer's Disease is not E4, but aging. Many of us come to this website to better understand our common alelle, which is understandable. But E4 contributes to more than Alzheimer's Disease and there's so more to us than our E4 allele so I thought I'd spread the word ...
