Re: 21 Proven Ways to Increase Brain Blood Flow

I also learned that more than 100 mg of caffeine a day will restrict blood flow. A Venti from Starbucks has 300 mg of caffeine. I don't drink caffeinated coffee or tea, so that won't make a difference to me, but just in case anyone is wondering about coffee. I've been thinking about caffeine lately...

Re: Sulforphane clears amyloid plaques and tau tangles

I take a Sulforaphane supplement called sulforaboost by DoNotAge (a company I trust). Sulforaphane was recommended by Dr Berg as something which gives relief for gout which I have had serious problems with. (Which also probably means I have high Uric acid but I haven’t tested for that recently.) It...

Brain aging patterns in a large and diverse cohort of 49,482 individuals

I searched the forum for this recent paper and don't see that it's come up. It's pretty complicated. One thing that surprises me is that drinking coffee is positively associated with a pattern of brain aging associated with Alzheimer's. I don't know whether or not there's confounding by other dietar...

Circular - Where did you get the info that "Dr. Afrin, the mast cell expert, says: that hypermobile EDS in the absence of one of the CTD genes is not EDS but rather mast cells remodeling the connective tissue.)" I ask because I have severe oxalate toxicity which tends to cause mast cell d...

Re: New Study. FN1 modifiers and APOE4

Fingers crossed I mean that our read is correct🤞. That would certainly be great if more people benefited. It's my understanding that everyone will have SNP rs116558455 in their genome. It will show two copies, each being either G or A, one inherited from each parent. G is very common. A is what con...

Re: Using neuroprotective adjuvants in general anesthesia

Thank you for this thread Circular. It has been very helpful to me. I'm preparing for a 2 hour robotic surgery. How did your surgery go? Do you have anymore recommendations for post-operative brain care and rehab after this last surgery? Thanks for your answers! Hi Gail! I'm so glad you found this ...
