Re: Calcium Supplements

I received the osteoporosis diagnosis this year. I am thin and 59 years old, so the diagnosis was not a surprise. This is what my ReCode doc and I put together: Increase estrogen. The goal is to raise estradiol to 80 - 110. At the last test, I was at 23. LEF bone strength collagen formula magnesuim ...

Re: Osteoporosis and Juvent

It will be a while before I know if there is any impact on the osteoporosis, but I want to share something that was a surprise and perhaps useful for those with poor circulation. The circulation in my feet has never been good, and they are always a sort of weird red color, going to purple when they ...

Re: Introduction

Hi Joanna, and welcome. It sounds like the Canadian health care system is even more difficult than the US health care system for this sort of thing. I am sorry. Very frustrating. The office manager at my ReCODE doc's office told me that the doc has video appointments with people in other countries. ...

Re: Still trying to make sense if it is worth APOE4 to get a vaccine for Shingles and VZV?

Interesting in this recent study the BCG vaccine (100 years old) was shown to be 92% effective against COVID. I read something about that early on in the pandemic. I wonder how many people died because we did not investigate what we already had in the arsenal. I was treated for TB when I was very y...

Re: After 17 hours fast, only mild ketosis

How about getting a second opinion? You have so much data and are doing so much. I wonder if a doc specifically trained in ReCODE might see something that your FM doc is missing. An example might be Lyme disease, which my son has. We have found that the doc who spends her whole day dealing with this...

Re: After 17 hours fast, only mild ketosis

Re the exercise, for strength training, perhaps consider Tonal. https://www.tonal.com/ I've been going to gyms for decades. No more. I bought this during the lockdown. This device includes a gazillion workouts - upper body, lower body, core, whole programs. It makes weight lifting fun. There is also...

New info: Tincup’s 5/28/22 post here https://forums.apoe4.info/viewtopic.php?t=8087&start=30 links to this machine https://www.vibrationtherapeutic.com/linear-vibration-plate.html which Amazon is selling for $400. The footprint is a little bigger than Marodyne, but I will deal with that to save ...

Re: Osteoporosis and Juvent

Thanks, JD202. Yes, please do post if you learn anything more, especially if your doctor has an opinion about the value of vibration plates. My doctor said that estrogen is the most effective way to increase bone density, and she is increasing mine. She did not have an answer as to whether a vibrat...

Re: Osteoporosis and Juvent

But before considering purchasing the ultra expensive Juvent, you might want to do more research on whether the common vibration plate (expensive enough, but 1/3 the cost of Juvent) would do the trick. I’ll be interested in anything you learn since I have osteopenia myself. Thanks for the reply. Wh...
