Re: Neuropsych Testing, Results and Bredesen Protocol

I'm looking for signs and stories of hope right now. I'm very frightened. Hi Alie, Hopefully others with specific experience will respond. In the meantime, have you read this: https://www.amazon.com/First-Survivors-Alzheimers-Patients-Recovered/dp/0593192427/ref=sr_1_1?crid=35BCAMUQEOYU8&keywor...

Re: Longitudinal study: Vitamin D supplementation associated with 40% lower dementia incidence

You make a good point. It was too much to hope for that we could focus on just one body part. Strength training is the least favorite part of my exercise regimen but, like you, it's something I now feel extra motivated to focus on. I used to barely be able to drag myself through weight lifting. I g...

Re: Getting and staying in Ketosis, eating enough protein to build muscle

For elderly folks, need protein in 30 gram boluses at the first and last meals of the day. This assumes protein from animal (fish, eggs, poultry & etc), veg protein would be more because of the different amino acid concentration. Does the protein in milk count as animal protein? Of course, it i...

Re: Chronically low HRV

Congratulations on the addition to the family. My thoughts: ignore potential implications of all measures for at least the first 6 months. Give everyone in the family and everything in your body a chance to adjust. If you can find the time without creating additional stress, some evening meditation ...

Re: High energy expenditure and APOE 4

My problem with weight is the opposite. I am 5'6" and have weighed around 123 pounds since college (I'm 59). I lost 5 pounds during a bout of food poisoning while traveling in February, dropping me down to 118. I didn't really think it was a big deal, assuming the weight would return to my set...

Re: Will trying to follow all these recommendations drive me insane, when the point is to avoid going “insane”?

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I have, and have read, the books. There is so much info. I cannot remember all of it. I have been to many integrative docs over the years, and she is certainly the most brilliant and works closely w Dr. Bredesen. I will follow up. And I will peel and seed the cukes ...

And that was it. He maligned the cucumber and I broke. Because it's all so hard. And yet, at this very moment, I'm sitting here typing while my phone wants me to exercise off a glucose spike. I've never been so unmotivated to do anything. Something as basic as eating a meal has become a lonely, liv...

Re: Free speech

I just finished reading Dr. Kory's book, The War on Ivermectin. I have been following FLCCC since the beginning of the pandemic. I was expecting to have to slog through this book. He is pretty sarcastic, really mad, fast-paced, and he names names. Although I already had a sense of what was going on,...

Re: Scared all over again

Sorry. Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice. The way I understood it back then was that it was coating my stomach, but that might have been just what I told myself. I do remember reading that it was commonly used in other countries for this purpose. Also, I remembered that the other powder was L-Glutamine Po...

Re: Scared all over again

No need to apologize at all. This is scary stuff. You reminded me of something. I used to have bad heartburn. Then I took DGL about 20 minutes before each meal. I did that for at least a year. I also had the endoscopy, and the report was good, and the doc told me to keep doing what I was doing. But ...
