Re: New Member
Hi Elka Well done for taking that first step and finding out your apoe4 status. It takes some guts to start this journey and now you're armed with information. If you haven't already, do get a copy of The End of Alzheimer's Programme by Dr. Bredesen it'll help you to work through making the diet and...

Re: another newbie
Hi Cindy, You've have some great responses on here, lots of tips and advice, so I guess you've got plenty to work on. All I wanted to add was to say well done for taking action and working on prevention. You mustn't underestimate how far you've come already. I know it's overwhelming to start with, b...

Hi. I’m up in Coventry, and I don’t come down that often, but I’ll let you know when I do.
But I’m up for a zoom chat if there are also others interested in a chat
Lindsey.

Hi Jenpet It's great that you're getting testing and support, even if sometimes it's a bit frustrating. If you're able to, I'd really recommend seeing an Apollo Practitioner or a Functional Medicine Practitioner (or hopefully find someone who's both!), for more detailed, root causes testing. You may...

Re: 3 Generations of Dementia and an Introduction
Hi TLS, I'm so pleased to hear that your Dad can see a big difference. I know the initial answer was, "no way" but now they can see an improvement, could you maybe gently raise it again, see if there's even more that could be done after some testing to discover all the contributing factors...

Re: Hello from an Assisted Living Homeowner
Hi again Windsurfer I wondered how you're getting on with the resident on the protocol? I have a dream of one day opening just such a place in the UK. I'm not in the care home business, but I am a Re:CODE health coach and I am trying to find people in the care industry in the UK who would be open to...

Hi Kate I haven't had genetics counselling, so I can't help with that, but I would echo Mike's point, having the gene doesn't mean you get the disease. What you've actually done, is arm yourself with information that you can use to minimise (eliminate?) your risks. By contrast, my Mum has ApoE3/4 (s...

Re: Filled with anxiety about my 4/4 status
Hi Jaxiam Firstly, you're in the right place for support, as you've seen in the outpouring of help and advice in response to your post. Secondly, well done on doing your research and having such a healthy lifestyle now! And the only thing I have to add, not already mentioned by others, you have norm...

Re: 37, just discovered I'm ApoE3/4
Hi HopefullyOptimistic I just wanted to say, well done for doing your research, taking the healthy approach to life, working on prevention before it ever becomes an issue and doing it all despite the jarring change noticed by your peers. It's heartening to hear your story. I'm not "an older Apo...
