Re: New to this APOE4 Mitigation and new to this forum - but see all of the knowledge and compassion of others I've read

Hi Patty, I just want to echo what TinCup said about carbs - I eat more than 50g/day probably too. I don't count my macros. I have cut out the worst starchy carbs (potatoes, rice, anything with wheat flour, etc.) but I eat LOADS of all other veggies and some fruits (max 2 fruits/ day). I make sure t...

Re: Newbie

Hi Cathy, Have you had a look at the primer section on this site https://forums.apoe4.info/viewtopic.php?t=1418 There's lots of diet info in section 5. Have you found "The End of Alzheimer's Programme" book by Dr. Dale Bredesen? He recommends the ketoflex 12/3 diet for cognitive health and...

Re: Will trying to follow all these recommendations drive me insane, when the point is to avoid going “insane”?

Hi Patty H I find the carb counting a real problem for lots of people (me included), so I go at it a different way. When I first got into keto, before finding Dr. Bredesen, I took a look at Dr. Josh Axe and found that most of his recipes had more than 50g carbs in them. Never mind over the course of...

Re: Jim's Journey

Hi Jim You've had some really thorough responses here, so I won't go into any of that, but I notice you mention GERD. I see you found your food sensitivities. But I wondered if you'd also found the iQoro device? It's a really simple device you use daily or twice daily for 30 secs at a time to exerci...

Re: Lindsey Byrne/United Kingdom/ReCODE 2 Health Coach

Thank you so much Irene for your kind words. You worked really hard and achieved so much, it was a pleasure to work with you! Ordering labs, interpreting labs results and recommending supplements is outside the scope of a health coach, and that's a good thing. It's a minefield! But I'm hoping that A...

Hi Alie, You're here and even if you're "not trying that hard", you've posted for a reason. What can we do for you? What do you need? Are you thinking of doing a little more? If so, take it easy, 1 tiny step at a time. You've clearly got enough on your plate! So be proud of yourself for st...

Re: My intro

Oh, I misunderstood the "...how do you know" comment. Of course, your own test results, if you have lots of data over time, are the best.

How are you finding the gamma frequency light and sound? Have you noticed any difference in your SAGE scores or trend since starting?

Re: Getting and staying in Ketosis, eating enough protein to build muscle

Hi Patty The Re:CODE training is amazing. Tough, but so interesting. I'd recommend it! I personally only test now if I think I'm noticing I'm out of ketosis (eg if I feel hungry!) But why don't you cut it down to just testing about 2 hours after a meal where you've tried a new food? Then again the n...
