Thanks, david y. Yes, it was very hard, most of all for my father-in-law.
I don't know if it was reported. That's a good question. I'll follow up with my sister-in-law. She is a nurse and hopefully knows. If it hasn't been reported, she would probably know the process of doing so.

Re: statins and alzheimer's
GenePoole0304, Just to clarify: Are you suggesting that my father-in-law might not have had Inclusion Body Myositis at all or that CoQ10 depletion could have triggered this autoimmune disease? Could CoQ10 depletion cause such severe weakness and deterioration in the muscles throughout the body w/o t...

Is Alzheimer's an autoimmune disease?
I first learned that Alzheimer's is a suspected autoimmune disease from Sarah Ballantyne's book, The Paleo Approach . If you have the book, check the index under the “Alzheimer's disease” entry to find the references within the book. I searched her list of references at the back of the book (just fo...

Re: statins and alzheimer's
From david y: I can say with absolute certainty that for some people statin drugs trigger what appear to be autoimmune diseases. Photos show massive myopathy of the leg muscles, which might appear to be ALS, except that the victim can feel as well as see the muscle fasciculation. This permanent dama...

Re: Per my former MD: “ApoE 4/4 risks are completely offset by exercise!”
I see that there’s a discussion topic titled “Help for a friend - is leaky gut real?” under the discussion category of Support. That seems like a less than ideal category for the topic, but I was thinking of continuing the discussion on leaky gut, food sensitivities/intolerances, and Cyrex testing t...

Re: Per my former MD: “ApoE 4/4 risks are completely offset by exercise!”
circular, I’m sorry I mustn’t have been clear. I’m actually not feeling good most days now, despite the progress I believe I have made. I feel good for most of the day maybe once a week or once every two weeks. That’s why I am reluctant to start reintroducing foods I’ve been sensitive to. I believe ...
