I recently started looking into krill oil and discovered that most formulations contain sorbitol. Sorbitol might not be as safe as once thought.
Anyone have a recommendation of krill oil without sorbitol?
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Using neuroprotective adjuvants in general anesthesia
Good luck with the surgery, and thanks for the wonderfully useful and hopeful information! One thing I'll add: there are some suggestive studies that fasting before GA can protect the brain. Fortunately, being fasted is typically part of the recommended prep for most major surgery, but it might be b...

Hi Karina. I think this is a great idea!

Hi everyone. Whole genome sequencing has come down so much in price that it might be worth having it done. Then you can look up all these variants as research reveals them. I look up the variants by sucking the gargantuan genome file into a text reader that can handle huge files (the program is call...

Re: Thoughts on Paxlovid?
Hi Kristin-Marie- From everything I've read, paxlovid is safe. Also from everything I've read, SARS-CoV-2 is not safe, esp. not for the brain. Even mild cases of COVID-19 are associated with damage, possibly permanent, to many organs, including the brain. No study has been done, that I'm aware of, l...

Re: The $100 Genome has Arrived? AD Breakthrough!
Brian4, wow a year? That is closer than I would have thought. That's my educated guess. Could be wrong, but demand for long read sequencing grew substantially because of the pandemic. And then of course there are all the new ideas for cancer therapies, which would require long read sequencing. But ...

So sorry about the COVID, my friend — extra scary with the E4s. Please take care of yourself. I have so many friends who felt better, then ultimately overextended themselves for a bigger relapse. Take it slowly. I also think you're onto something with the notion of "illness" causing a red...
