Re: New
My name is Michele from Florida. I just found out Apoe 3/4 carrier. Thanks for the information. What part of Florida? Hi Veero, A quick tip for using the site: when you are replying directly to someone, if you use the quotation marks in the upper right hand corner of the post you are responding to,...

Re: Lab results. Too good to be true?
Hi Floramaria, Thank you for your reply and kind words :) My daily protein intake is around 80 gramms + 10 gramms of BCAA during workout. The 80 gramms comes from a pea protein isolate powder. I add that to my oatmeal. I bought a BGM and my result was the following. After 22hrs of fasting and prior...

Re: Blue Light Blocking Glasses
This is confusing to me as I have read for the most part that it has to be a orange/red tint to work the best for ApoE4/4. Hi JanHoo, I don’t believe that blue blockers have to have amber lenses. But the ones I’ve been using for several years do. Mine are from Spectra479. They work well for me. You...

Re: Neurodegeneration—It’s Not the Tangles, It’s the T Cells
Hi, I came across this article as well and it immediately got my attention. And I think it deserves more views. Why APOE4 in Tsimane is cognitively protective! 70% of Tsimane have parasites, here is the study showing some evidence that the more parasitic worms APOE4 has the batter cognition outcome...

Re: Panicking 41yr old grown up man
I was just looking at the Apoe4 site to see how many of the people who were active when I joined and it looks to me as if many of them are still active. Hello to any of you who are members from the early days. Starfish77 Hi, Starfish! It is so good to hear from you and to know you are still going s...

Re: New Biomarkers for long term detection? Gfap Ltbp2
You’re welcome. I just edited my previous post to add that I don’t know anything about those biomarkers in the study you linked to. It may be interesting to keep an eye on what information comes out related to them, and how useful they prove to be.

Alternately, I've looked at Preclivity, but from earlier notes on this board it's unclear if that test just gives a positive/negative report or if it reports a 40/42 number or something like it that can be used to measure change over time? HI Snavec, Sorry, I don’t know anything about the testing f...

Re: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
Meatsavesbrains has some valid points, nevertheless I HAVE looked into the carnivore/zero carb and don’t recommend it, ESPECIALLY for APOEε4s. Hi BenF, thanks for taking the time to assemble various concerns about and supporting arguments regarding a zero carb diet. It is an interesting post. Thank...
