Re: New and not sure where to start
Hello everyone! I'm new here here! Short version: I don't know what APOE status my dad and I are yet (I'm going to order 23andMe for both of us), but when looking through our raw DNA file from Ancestry.com, we both have the same DNMT3B gene polymorphism potentially associated with dementia and Park...

Re: Newbie- Trying to get started .in Ottawa Ontario
Hi, My mom is showing AD like symptoms and I'm not sure what is going on with her health. For the last 5 months we have been running around to appointments and it is like no really wants to help mom. I'm debating if I should take her to the local Dr who is Bredesen trained to start examining her. H...

Re: Gauging Interest in a Trial with Valter Longo, PhD
I have been following this website since 2017 and have learned so much. I'm very grateful to Julie and all those who have worked so hard to make this a real support for APOE 4 carriers. Bottom line, I am very interested in following this discussion and potentially participating in his study. Thank ...

Re: ALZ-801, tramiprosate, Ptau-181
I have been following Alzheon's ALZ-801 drug trials as I have a loved one who is e4/e4 and in their phase 3 trial. They have just released an update saying there is a Ptau reduction of ~29% in 6 months and that potentially the drug can stop progression AD completely. Does anyone have an idea/opinio...

Re: Introduction... 32 and feeling optimistic...do we like Bredesen?
First a funny anecdote, looked at both my mom's and mine's DNA today. Apparently she does not have AD genes but does have genes to live to 100, so looks like she's taking care of me  I have the Gs141 gene for one APOE-ε3 allele and one APOE-ε4 allele. I've already gotten Dr. Bredesen's The End...
