Re: Prodrome blood test results, initial and over time

Citicoline is supposed to be a source of choline that does not contribute to TMA production because it is absorbed whole, and the choline is released from it only after absorption (possibly by the liver?) Thanks for the info on Citicoline and TMAO, Quantifier. Though I could, I don’t want to get al...

Re: Calcium Supplements

I would like input on calcium supplements. I also quit them years ago (as Floramaria and another poster were discussing in a thread here about oxylates) having heard they cause plaque issues. Hi Jan18, I also have osteopenia. And on the advise of my doctor I’ve started to take some Ca in Supplement...

Re: Prodrome blood test results, initial and over time

I am hedging my bets and taking 1 ml liter of of the Prodrome Nuero (but not 3 ml). I'm also taking lots of phosphatidylcholine as you pointed out I have the PEMT mutation and need supplementation. I'm hoping this will do it. Gail 3/4 Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this thread, Gail. ...

Re: Polyphenols, heat, and shipped olive oil

Plus, do most here cook with your olive oils or just use them to pour over finished dishes? Or both? Or use avocado oil to cook with and olive oil to finish? Hi Jan18, I appreciate your post. I've been holding off on ordering from Amphora Nueva because of heat wave and my concerns after reading tha...

Re: Mitochondrial Dysfunction in E4 carriers

Mixing Hinz’ ideas of balancing neurotransmitters with amino acid precursors with the nutragenomics popularized by Amy Yasko could work very well. Several years ago, I was hired by a Hinz associate to measure how brainwaves change with neurotransmitter amino acid precursor supplementation. I added ...

I’m clearly getting plenty since these are fat cloves of garlic. I'm guessing the 600 mg is likely dried garlic as a supplement, so fresh is going to be heavier, therefore getting plenty is a good thing. I’ve avoided garlic for years because a friend who is an Ayurvedic doctor told me that as someo...

New CRISPR Technology Puts Diseased Microglia Back on Track Kampmann said that once the right genes are flipped, it’s likely that the “repaired,” microglia will resume their responsibilities, removing plaques associated with neurodegenerative disease and protecting synapses rather than taking them ...

Re: Still trying to make sense if it is worth APOE4 to get a vaccine for Shingles and VZV?

Curious what everyone is thinking on this. Do you favor Shingrix or Zostavax or both? I’ve had both. Around a decade ago, a physician friend who’d seen some devastating cases of shingles recommended I get Zostavax vaccination. I did. When Shingrex vaccine became available, I also got two shots of t...
