Re: New here? Some Best Practices

Thanks for the new-comer suggestions. Genetic testing and recent labwork on homosysteine etc are all pointing to developing AD fairly quickly. I'm glad I stumbled upon Dr Bredesen's Protocol but am completely overwhelmed with the number of supplements and dietary changes. I'm glad for this site to ...

Re: Researchers find two FDA-approved drugs that curb symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer's can be so severe and deceiving and such was the case of my late aunt who had it and was depressed prior to getting it but ended up dying of undetected cancer. That was the source of her screaming and pain which no one could figure out. Her son sacrificed most of his productive life taki...

Re: After 17 hours fast, only mild ketosis

I think we are within the parameters of the Keto-Flex diet that Bredesen recommends. But you are right to suggest because wife has trouble getting into ketosis on that diet, we may have to go full keto, and keep it under 30g carbs a day. I just don't think wife can do it. At one time about a year a...

Re: Intro - 53 yo mom with dual APOE-4 and CIRS wanting to do all I can to prevent AD

Hi I heard one of the talks - Julie Gregory's - in the recent Alzheimer's talks and was so glad this site is available! I'm in CO (former east coaster) and I've been dealing with CIRS and dual C677t gene issues after mold poisoning (and all the other dominoes) for decades. I recently lost my mom to...

Re: Gauging Interest in a Trial with Valter Longo, PhD

As an alternative to Dr Longo’s FMD, my husband just did a five day FMD with a kit from Dr Q Longevity: https://www.doctorqfast.com/ He has previously done ProLon FMD 5 times over the last few years. Dr Q Longevity FMD does not include any grains. It’s bars contain fruit and nuts. Each day’s food in...
