Re: Multivitamin Pure Encapsulations 950

You can find out if you have the risk allele for Vitamin E supplementation by running raw genetic data through Rhonda Patrick's report (foundmyfitness.com/genetics). Thank you for this tip! I just ran the report ($10) and I'm really impressed. I've run reports elsewhere, but this one was particular...

Re: Sleep!

I am currently on a two-week regimen Does this mean that you get acupuncture for two weeks every once in a while (how often?) or that you go every two weeks? How long does each therapy last before you have to go back? The acupuncturist can't see me this week, and I just started the therapy, but I a...

How many of us have Frank's Sign?

A diagonal crease in the earlobe is indicative of an increased cardiovascular risk. This crease is referred to as Frank's Sign. I have a slight crease and am wondering how many of us 4s have it? I find myself staring at people's ears now. :) https://stanfordmedicine25.stanford.edu/blog/archive/2015/...

Re: Sleep!

all is going well on every front except for one: sleep The original post is a few months old, so perhaps your problem has been solved. But I wanted to share what I am currently doing about insomnia: Acupuncture . It would never have been my first thought to go see an acupuncturist, but my doctor re...

Re: I’m confused about 4/4s and how much saturated fat is ok

I would like to cautiously present a very different view, in case others are also questioning the keto recommendation like I am. I apologize beforehand if this adds to the confusion for you, but I think it's important to hear voices from all Alzheimer's experts, including doctors Dean & Ayesha S...

Re: I’m confused about 4/4s and how much saturated fat is ok

I thought I'd share the results of a recent cholesterol test that I had (Feb 2018) that showed I absorb too much cholesterol, which is crazy because I am vegan, so there is essentially NO animal cholesterol in my diet. My doctor explained that it was likely due to Apoe 4. I produce and absorb more. ...

Re: Is Red Wine OK?

Would de-alcoholized red wine contain tannic acid? "Tannic acid, found in red wine, is known to prevent the formation of toxic amyloid structures that cause neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease." https://www.aftau.org/weblog-medicine--health?&storyid4...

Re: Hoping to start BHRT and Lab Test Question

I am perimenopausal and the doctor explained why estrogen testing makes little sense at this point in my life since it fluctuates continuously. I mentioned HRT to her, and she said it requires several tests and a mammogram, which I am in the process of having done. I didn't specifically ask which te...
