Re: Your organizational input please

Hey Silver, I agree that real research belongs in the Wiki, But discussion and personal experience might be better in the forums. I can see HRT Therapy, for instance, as a separate topic under "Alzheimer's" or even "Drugs" You could re-post the study and start a discussion... Hav...

Re: Lipid Results

Yeah, BIG difference- moderate and much smarter carbs for sure. OK, if you haven't tried it yet, check out Spunky's chronometer. It's VERY revealing. I'm just using the free version; I imagine the paid version is more user-friendly. I just saw that my Omega 3s today were 990% and my Omega 6s, 95%- c...

Re: Bentkat's introduction

OH LOL, you're making me change my visual on you  Bentkat, I'm surrounded by cyclists. My husband is also a huge enthusiast. He calls his regular 50 mile ride "going to church." When he flew for the Navy (years ago) he cycled all over Germany & had some very interesting adventures...

Re: a new paradigm in genetic researc

Very interesting, Dr. Lost. Visual proof of what's long been suspected. Seems to overlap with some of the TREM2 work which also involved improper TYROBP signaling...

Re: Lipid Results

I don't know. It seems like HFLC was good till "something" happened. I wouldn't say your 4/4 just "turned on"...but maybe it had to do with your testosterone level (good catch there!) But WHY did that change? I know you've had your thyroid looked at... Lots of questions still. So...

Re: Lipid Results

WOW, Skibike  CRAZY fast changes!!! We 4/4s are known for them...but, boy, you are living life in the fast lane- understatement. FIVE days on HFLC and your lipids looked THAT good??? Well, you certainly know LFHC is NOT for you. HFLC looked good until it didn't- still wonder if your hormonal ...

Re: CR vs. dietary cholesterol vs. dietary fats

Hi James, How would you quantify "improved lipids"? Overall TC? TG/HDL ratio? LDL-P? I'm a 4/4 and have always had pretty good lipids per CW standards. Prior to adopting HFLC, my last panel almost exactly one year ago was: TC: 183 LDL: 88 HDL: 84 TG: 54 In the absence of advanced lipids, r...

Re: Soybean's Intro

Nice to meetcha', Soybean! Sounds like you more than have your hands full. What a wonderful daughter you are 8-) With high TC numbers like yours, I always wonder about familial hypercholesterolemua...not that that points points a definitive dietary plan at this point. BUT, if you haven't already, yo...

Re: Bentkat's introduction

Welcome Bentkat! It's so nice to learn more about you. I've long been a mega-fan of your name, but know that I know you tour cross-country (and beyond!) on a recumbent bike; I'm a bigger fan :D My whole family is big into cycling. My almost 21 y/o, who struggles with major health issues, recently co...
