Phospholipid IV Therapy

Post by Lottiepoulton »

Hello friends

I am undergoing a metal and Mycotoxin detoxification programme and I have 2 questions I would like to ask you all

Firstly, does anyone have experience of this Phospholilid IV therapy or a any information on its effectiveness for metal detoxification?’

Secondly, does anyone with type 3 symptoms have experience of an effective detox programme I could look into.

I am a apoe4 homozygote aged 55, based in London UK. My Precode report flagged up that I am type 3 and then further testing at Great Plains and Real Time Labs revealed a test score high in Lead, Mycotoxins, Pesticides and Organophosphates. I started a detox programme with my Nutritionalist in September that consists of Liposomal Glutathione with binders Chlorella, Zeolite, Charcoal, and now Chitosan and 5 saunas a week.

I do have some subjective cognitive issues which is why I started investigate my health 2 years ago and gave up my job recently to rebalance a stressful life. My symptoms are word recall and slower than normal processing issues. I have spent 2 years trying to optimize diet, sleep, exercise, meditation all of which have improved my mental focus but I still have word recall and sub optimal processing. So far I have not improved on this detox protocol - maybe I have not been doing it for long enough but I am not entirely confident that my practitioner is detailed , scientific or experienced enough. When I suggested use of EDTA he said that it had strong side effects and dismissed it.

My therapist has recently recommended Phospholipid IV treatment which is extremely expensive. Im not sure what to do.

Does anyone have any experience or information on this that they could direct me to.

Hello Lottie,

I'm also a 4/4 who was mold poisoned. I remember the word finding problems very well!

Your detox protocol is similar to the one that helped my sister and me to recover. You're taking the right things, IMO. Unfortunately, there's no fast way to recover from mold. You support your body's detox system, as you're doing, and you wait. Each day, your body clears a certain amount of your toxin load and you don't notice a thing. Until one day you do, because now the load has gone below some threshold and you can function a little better. And you still keep doing the things and waiting, because full recovery can take a year or more.

Do you have a link for the IV treatment?

Thank for your reply, that's very encouraging. IM interested to hear that word recall might be specifically a mold symptom as I assumed it was more a heavy metal symptom. I have paused the treatment as I was feeling worse and word recall was became quite extreme, especially after saunas. Im beginning to realise that maybe I just needed to go slower but Im too nervous to try again until I find a practitioner I can trust. Would you recommend the practitioner you saw and if so, would you feel comfortable passing those detail on to me? Coming from England it is very hard to find practitioners that are trained to deal with mold and heavy metal detox, it doesn't seem to be recognised or taken seriously here. Im wondering if online consultations to a practitioner overseas might be a way forward

Hi Lottiepoulton, My personal experience in the wonderful world of detoxification has been focused on heavy metals. I tested very high for both Cadmium and Lead. I successfully brought lead levels down with oral DMSA. The protocol I followed was 500 mg DMSA for 3 days, then 11 days off. I did those 14 day cycles for almost a year. I did not have any negative side effects. When I retested, though my lead levels had gone down , cadmium was still high. Then, for Cd detox I used products from Quicksilver Scientific, including their EDTA. I did not have any trouble tolerating the treatment, but it was tricky fitting in the complicated overall detox protocol, which included binders (QS Ultrabinder) that had to be taken away from food and supplements.
If I understand correctly, problems with words are associated with toxicity and are not specific to any particular toxin. My main problem was unintentionally speaking a word that was different from the word I was trying to say. For example I might mean to say book, but would say paper. Or I’d intend to say table and would say tree. It happened regularly and was really quite alarming. Post detoxification it happens rarely if at all.
I’ve not heard about phospholipid IV but think there are probably easier and less expensive ways to detox successfully.

Coming from the USA it's very hard to find practitioners too! I was sick for 16 years before I got a diagnosis.

I do have a mold specialist that I can absolutely recommend. She is Janette Hope in Santa Barbara, California, phone 1.805.698.2912. In addition to having the (rare) knowledge and competence to treat mold toxicity, she is also the most respectful and accommodating practitioner I've ever met. She's a one-woman operation without an office staff, so it may take her a while to get back to you.

I agree you probably need to slow down your detox protocol--the toxins travel through your bloodstream on their way to the gut, so you need to keep the rate down to something you can tolerate. It's the glutathione and saunas that drive the detox. The binders just mop up what arrives in the gut, and you may find that you can continue them without increasing your symptoms.

Thanks for the contact, I will reach out and see if she can help or has contacts here who can help. Most helpful!

Thanks to these posts Ive re started the programme and feel much more clear headed for taking Glutathione, literally from day 1. IM introducing the binders one at a time and so far so good on Zeolite and Humid and vulvic, I guess it depends on the individual strains of mold as to which works best. I do find that sauna knocks me back so IM going very cautiously.

As to the IV phospholipid I am going to try this first and not jump into an expensive over 2 000 pounds sterling programme however my nutritionalist did recommend a 'substitute' for IV which is an oral method of phospholipid

TO MAKE DRINK
Coconut oil 1 dessert spoon (10ml) (Coconut Oil must have been kept in the fridge in order to blend well). Better than coconut oil is Beef fat. Nutrigold sunflower lecithin granules 1 dessert spoon (10ml)
Hemp oil 1 dessert spoon (10ml), (or other oils as below in correct proportion)
Sunflower oil 1/4 teaspoon (1ml)
1-2 capsules of bile salts - Get Beta PLus from Nutri LInk.co.uk
** You can replace the hemp and sunflower oil with Body Bio balance oil from Nutrilink.co.uk
In a blender with coconut milk or almond milk and berries of choice. Very allergic or intolerant people can just use water. The liquid bone broth would be absolutely ideal if tolerated. You can vary the smoothie's ingredients to conform with flavour but keep the above fats and lecithin levels.

It unclear in his notes if this is a Patricia Kane recipe or a liquid drink that recreates the PK ratio of lipids needed for optimal membrane detoxification

Thank you for this information. I have not heard of this method, it is heartening to hear that you have recovered. That is great! Yes my word recall is very similar, I use the wrong the words. Thanks for sighting the actual supplements you used.
Can I ask did your protocol include ALA. I am reading that this is useful for brain detoxing but it has not been mentioned by my practioner.

Yes, the protocol I followed included this liposomal form of R lipoid acid and vitamin C:

I took it several times a day. Though not actively doing any detox protocol now, I am taking R lipoidc acid in capsule form, 100 mg, daily.
