What a great discussion we had yesterday! I learned so much from hearing about others’ experiences. Many thanks to JML for her deft hosting skills and to Julie G for sharing her experience and knowledge.

Welcome to all of the members who joined the Meet-up for the first time! And great to see the “regulars” as well. Here are some of the resources that were mentioned at the Meet-up:

Protein Resources:
Don Layman Peter Attia protein interview
This is the essential amino acid supplement Tincup uses: https://iamamino.com/products/i-am-amino
Leucine is the amino acid that creates the signal for muscle protein synthesis. The 30g/bolus animal protein so you get ~2.5 g of leucine (the 2.5 if from memory, but is in the ballpark. All of the amino acids are important, not just the leucine.

Supplements:

For Apollo Members:
Here is the Guide to Optimize your Supplement Protocol
https://app.apollohealthco.com/guides/t ... upplements
And a Guide for how to take Ketone Supplements
https://app.apollohealthco.com/guides/k ... supplement

Bioidentical Hormone References
Check out The XX Brain by Lisa Mosconi—I believe there are references there that may help convince a doctor of the benefits of estradiol/progesterone.
Dr. Tara Scott: https://revitalizemed.com/dr-tara-scott/
Dr. Felice Gersh: https://integrativemgi.com/

Lab in the UK that will run a lot of the Bredesen Biomarkers:

Colab
(You still need a doctor to order the tests)

Thanks to AKA for the reminder for all of us to have self-compassion as we all take this journey!

Welcome, woodstock!

Thank you for joining our site and posting in the forum. This is a knowledgeable and supportive community and we're glad you're here.

If you check above your post regarding the Virtual Meet-up you will find a post with information about the most recent meeting including links to topics discussed.

I noticed you may also be looking for a practitioner in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our wiki is a wonderful resource and contains information regarding searching for a practitioner: Searching for a Healthcare Practitioner, a list of APOE4 aware practitioners: APOE4 Aware Healthcare Practitioners and APOE4 Aware Health Coaches: APOE4 Aware Health Coaches. You may find practitioners and health coaches from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond. Many of them offer a remote practice as well as in-person services.

As a Support Team Intern, I can also share several tools & resources to help you get the most out of your experience if you would like to explore the site in more detail. The Primer is a detailed and informative resource written by a practicing M.D. with ApoE4/4. It includes information about the biochemistry of the ApoE4 gene and offers a variety of research-based prevention strategies.

Some helpful tips to navigate the site include the How-To Guide. It includes topics such as navigating the forum, private messaging, and searching. One great tip is using the quote (") button when replying to a post. Using the button will automatically alert the member of your response.
