My name is Nikki Calinog, and I am a fifth-year architecture student at Mapua University in Manila, Philippines. I am currently conducting research on designing spaces that enhance the wellness of individuals at risk of or diagnosed with dementia. While I am eager to share my APOE type, I currently lack the resources to do so.

In the Philippines, resources and laboratories for dementia research are limited. Despite the recent publication of "Enhancing Cognition and Reversing the Decline" in dementia care, awareness of this approach remains low. Projections indicate a significant increase in dementia diagnoses in our country within the next decade. As a developing nation, we face substantial challenges in addressing this issue.

I am delighted to have discovered this community and to have witnessed the transformative impact of this program on individuals' lives. I am eager to learn from everyone here and to present my research findings in the future. I am hopeful that RECODE practitioners will soon be available in the Philippines.

In the meantime, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. To develop an effective architectural solution, I need to gather insights and validate my survey questions with the help of professionals such as neurologists, psychiatrists, and gerontologists. Thanks for offering your help! I'm working on some research on dementia and have a few questions that a professional in the field, particularly someone familiar with the RECODE program, could answer. Ideally, I'd like to speak with someone both locally and internationally to gain a broader perspective.

Finding these professionals here in the Philippines seems a bit challenging to reach out to. Research suggests there's roughly one psychiatrist for every 100,000 people in the Philippines. However, I'm staying positive and hope to connect with someone eventually.

Perhaps you do have contacts with a psychologist, psychiatrist, or neurologist with experience applying the RECODE program. I would be interested in their insights and experiences, especially since RECODE is a relatively new program. For my research, I've already secured interviews with a local Fitness Coach, a local nurse, and caregivers who have experience caring for people with mild to severe dementia, however, they do not have a background in the RECODE. Aside from this, I'm also aiming to identify the necessary laboratories involved in the RECODE program. This information will help me create a layout and eventually turn it into a 3D model.
