I obtained blood tests in March 2024 (I had just turned 29, and I'm female; I also did NOT fast that day). My results revealed the following:
Total cholesterol: 174
HDL: 63
Triglycerides: 50
LDL Chol, calculated: 98
Cholesterol/HDL Ratio: 2.8
Non-HDL cholesterol: 111
Hemoglobin A1C: 5.1
Glucose: 88
I know these results are 7 months old, but I'm just curious to hear what people think, since monitoring cholesterol and blood sugar is especially important for carriers of APOE4. Should I be concerned about these numbers? Again, I know it's best to get tested again, since it's been 7 months and I have changed my diet and given up alcohol since then.

Re: Blood test results from March 2024
Your numbers are really great. Congratulations on your achievements! If you wanted to be really optimal, you'd want your LDL closer to 70 -- not an easy task, but you might do this through exercise and increasing fiber consumption. Since you've changed your diet since these labs and because it's been seven months, it would be worth checking your current status.Eniluap wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 1:07 pm I obtained blood tests in March 2024 (I had just turned 29, and I'm female; I also did NOT fast that day).
