That’s what I am trying to understand if taking the allergy treatments would be recommended for 4/4 or what treatments. I have had very bad allergies my whole life that have manifested in the normal symptoms but now it’s coming out in my skin and blood work. The mold and Lyme is also something I am trying to figure out. If you have high cholesterol as I do, they say don’t take stains so I guess if the same is true for allergy options.
I’m neither a health coach nor a medical professional. But I am a 72 year old woman with ApoE 4/4 who had years of allergy shots as a kid, can get poison ivy easily and bronchitis at least once a year. I also happen to have naturally high LDL and sky-high Lp(a) with a family history of severe coronary artery disease. So I take a statin (atorvastatin) to get my LDL down to 70. And while I no longer need allergy shots, I do take a nasal steroid spray when the Virginia lush vegetation gets too much, or when I’m exposed to cat dander. And I feel comfortable taking over the counter antihistamines on an infrequent basis. I know that allergies can ruin my sleep and make it difficult to get exercise, so for me it’s a net benefit to control those symptoms.
4/4 and still an optimist!

Thank you! So great to know you are doing so well! My mom is 73 and fully demented, hence all the questions. Within 7 yrs of MCI she has declined so rapidly. I feel so guilty as I am in medical sales and just didn’t know anything about this awful disease but have learned a ton with this whole traumatic experience. I wish I knew back then what I know now so I could have saved my mother. She is a saint and doesn’t deserve any of this. I will consider the allergy exposure nasal spray and the steroid nasal spray as that helps significantly.
I really appreciate you sharing.
Thank you
