Hi rdpchef--I will add you to the calendar invitation since I have your email address. ;)

We could consider doing a book club meeting in the future. Dr. Bredesen has a new book coming out soon--we could review that one. Are there other books you would suggest?

Hi Julie - I did receive your private message requesting my email address. Unfortunately, the system says I'm not authorized to send private messages so, as of now, I'm not able to respond.

You might have to post 3 times to be able to send a PM. You could reply simply to this message and see if that "unlocks" the ability. Keep me posted!

Yes, interested in a zoom forum.
Evenings EST are best for me personally.
I'm brand new here. I don't really know how posting/responding/receiving notifications work.
BY THE WAY....I made several copies of this book and took it to my husband's doctor's office yesterday. The doctor was genuinely excited, took my flyers, and is buying the book. PROGRESS already.

Hello! I'm a support team intern. I see that you've posted before but wanted to welcome you to this site. It's great that you'd like to jump in and join the virtual meet up! Julie L will see your post and message you. When she does, you'll see that message in the envelope at the top right corner of this page. We had our first meeting this past Saturday at 3:00 CST. It was only an hour and VERY informative. Several experience moderators from the forum where on to answer questions and share information. That combined with the members stories made it a great hour.

You mentioned not knowing how to respond to messages. The best way to reply to someone is to click on the quotation mark icon at the top right of the post of the person you are responding to. That will send them an email that you’ve replied to their post.

Your story about sharing the book at your husbands doctors office warmed my heart. I could feel how much you care and want others to have this valuable information, and how excited you were when they shared they would order the book! One little step at a time, eventually makes a big difference.

About this forum. This is an intelligent, compassionate and supportive community and we love to share questions, answers, and stories here. If you feel comfortable, we would love it if you would share a bit more of your own story with us but no pressure.

If you haven't already, it would be a great idea to first take a look at our Primer. It is an incredible resource of information about the biochemistry of ApoE4. It offers researched-based prevention strategies and was written by a practicing M.D. with ApoE4. Do not become overwhelmed with all the information. Sometimes it is best to slowly read through it, decide which section resonates with you, and focus on that area first. Remember that small changes can make a big difference to brain health.

The How-To Guide will help you learn how to navigate this site. It includes topics such as navigating the forum, private messaging, and searching.

You can find other members' experiences in Our Stories. Sometimes reading the stories of others helps us realize that we are not alone.

I'm so glad you have joined us on this site. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions or if you just need support. You are not alone. We are here for you.
