CBD
CBD
i am not a CBD user but have not slept well since getting the APOE4 Results. A friend suggested CBD has really helped her sleep. so I did a little research to make sure there was no weird interaction with apoe4 only to discover there’s been research (so far only in mice) that CBD seems to reduce and clear amyloid plaque and may slow down AD progression. Of course we don’t know how that translates to humans yet (there is a study now) and what would the dosage be — but heck I’m gonna buy some anyways because at the very least, need to sleep.!!
Re: CBD
Did your research come from our ApoE4.info wiki, Cannabinoids: CBD, CBN, CBG, THC etc. Also HEMP & Marijuana (Cannabis)]
Results from research on cannabinoids and sleep certainly are mixed. You can read more in the subsection of that wiki: Cannabinoids and Sleep.

“CONCLUSIONS: “CBD-terpene ratios may increase SWS + REM sleep in some individuals with insomnia and may have the potential to provide a safe and efficacious alternative to over-the-counter sleep aids and commonly prescribed sleep medications.”
and anecdotally that several of my friends are sleeping better with it. i need to sleep. thought others might too

This study used 300 mg dose of oral CBD.
That is a really high dose. Recently I have been experimenting with taking 1/4 of a 10 mg CBD + 10 mg CBN gummy. In this double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial, 125 individuals with insomnia received an oral administration of CBD (300 mg) and terpenes (1 mg each of linalool, myrcene, phytol, limonene, α-terpinene, α-terpineol, α-pinene, and β-caryophyllene) for ≥ 4 days/wk over 4 weeks using a crossover design.
At a local CBD store they sell a 900 mg bottle of CBD suspended in EVOO (which I prefer to gummies because there is no sugar) but it would cost $20/day to take 300mg each night.
