Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
I found rs2070788 in my Promethease report. I pasted the string in the search window at the top and hit return. Nothing happened. I deleted the last character and the allele showed up. I'm TT. I reran my 23andme report (on my original dna sample) late last year then ran that new report through Promethease. I think that's worth doing.Tincup wrote:So I did it. Interestingly the report shows rs2070788 as AG while a search of the raw .txt file or my Promethease report for rs2070788 comes up empty. So I wonder where their report gets the AG?
Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
Good point! Turns out I have a number of versions of both the 23andMe raw file and Promethease reports on my hard drive. Wasn't paying attention and when I first looked, I must have been using an old file.DebbieG wrote: I found rs2070788 in my Promethease report. I'm A,G for rs2070788 in my July 2019 23andme file and C,T in the associated Promethease.

Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
Hmmm...on 23andme it says that rs2070788 only has A and G variants so that's weird about the T variant.
Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
T is the same as A, so all's well there.GemmaJ wrote:Hmmm...on 23andme it says that rs2070788 only has A and G variants so that's weird about the T variant.

Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19

Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
It isn't suprising since nearly three-quarters of immune traits are influenced by genes.
