Recruiting for the PREVENTE4 Trial

Post by Julie G »

I recently had an interesting and hopeful conversation with Dr. Hussein Yassine from the USC Keck School of Medicine about his work focused on the ApoE4 gene. You may recall Dr. Yassine from this Peter Attia Podcast. We did a podcast that focused primarily on the top ApoE4 mechanisms that lead to disease, how we can track out status, and intervene based on the evidence we currently have. Dr. Yassine shares dietary and lifestyle advice for healthy cognitive aging that is included in our show notes. Check out our discussion in our latest podcast featuring Dr. Hussein Yassine.

Dr. Yassine also talked about The PREVENTE4 Trial that he's currently conducting. Some members of our community may qualify to participate. You can learn more about it here: Omega-3 Brain Study and through the clinical trials.gov announcement found here: PREVENTE4. To qualify for the study, you must meet the following requirements:

-Genetic risk of Alzheimer’s disease
-No evidence of dementia
-Between 55-80 years old
-Doesn’t use fish oil or consume much fatty fish
