I liked this article. "Hypermobility syndrome [has a] suggested prevalence of 2-57% of the population" suggests that additional science does need to be applied to defining the syndrome. But their summary of the interactions of MTHFR, folate, and folic acid with our bodies was quite interesting.

I'm glad you found it interesting. I haven't even read the whole thing yet, so your reply has caused me to move it up the list :) .

You're sure right about the science behind prevalence. It is definately a work in progress, including evolving but still not perfect differentiation between 'hypermobility syndrome' and 'hypermobile EDS' along with the search for genetic underpinnings. Additionally many clincians are making diagnostic judgements without being well versed in this area, rather than referring patients to a specialist.
