Hello all,
I am very frustrated with diet. All meat is excluded except seafood? Eggs as well. Except if they are pastured raised which I don’t have access here in Canada. With eating seafood only my uric acid levels are high. How do you keep up with this limited diet and maintain muscle mass? No protein shakes either. I give up!

Hello JHanson101!
Changing habits of a lifetime is hard! At the same time, many people overestimate how much protein they need. Strength training supports muscle mass over a very broad range of protein intake. Maybe start by just avoiding red meat, and see how it goes?

Many folks here follow different diets. I'm 4/4 and believe that means I should stick to an ancestral hunter / gatherer diet of man prior to farming and constant carbs. I eat meat and hate most seafoods. Eggs, chicken and beef and above ground vegies for me. Sure, I try to get the best quality I can. I stay away from processed food, etc. You need to find a path that works for you.JHanson101 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:24 am I am very frustrated with diet. All meat is excluded except seafood? I'm wondering which diet exactly you are following? I'm doing the KetoFLEX 12/3 which does allow some clean animal protein. If you can get organic, grass fed, that's best. I know it can be hard. I do see that the KetoFLEX 12/3 food pyramid shows fish and eggs in the image, but meat is allowed. It's just not the largest part of the meal. I'm sure I also saw that hemp protein powder is allowed. I think they just want to be sure that any protein powder you're taking is from a clean source. Try the YUKA app for checking ingredients.
I know changing diet is really hard and can get really frustrating. Could you maybe make just some small changes, a bit at a time and build up slowly? You might find after a while that you're looking back at how far you've come.
Good luck with it, do ask more questions if you need more help and support
