sens.ai

This device combines neurofeedback with HRV training and photobiomodulation. No glue required. I've been getting promotional emails for a while, and a recent one caught my attention because it mentioned Dr. Bredesen.

I wonder if this is an amazing device that is a big help for maintaining brain health or if I am looking at marketing hype. I wouldn't mind buying the thing to experiment with, but the high cost of the subscription bothers me. $300 per year forever is a drag. Does anyone have any experience with this thing?

I have no experience to share, but did note on the Terms of Service, Section 10(f) that you must notify them after they give you a 30-day alert, if you want to cancel your annual membership. And the monthly membership cannot be cancelled before 12 months--or they just keep collecting your money. That sounds like a recipe to accidentally pay for another year you don't want.
Auto-Renewal. The Membership will be automatically extended for (i) successive monthly renewal periods in the event you have purchased a monthly Membership or (ii) successive 12 month periods in the event you have purchased either an annual or 24-month Membership. In the case of an annual or 24-month Membership, we will notify you by email at least thirty (30) days prior to such automatic extension taking effect. To change or terminate your Membership, go to Account settings at HTTPS://SENS.AI/LOGIN. If you terminate your Membership, you may continue to use your Membership until the end of your then-current term and your Membership will not be renewed after your then-current term expires. However, you won’t be eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the Membership Fee paid for the then-current subscription period. If you do not want to continue to be charged on a recurring basis, you must cancel or terminate your Membership before the end of the then-current term. Your Membership cannot be terminated before the end of the period for which you have already paid, and except as expressly provided in these terms, SENS.AI will not refund any amounts that you have already paid.

FWIW, he is not associated in any way with this device.

Thank you both. I think I'll pass on this. It feels a bit off, doesn't it?

I'd be cautious about the marketing hype. While the device seems interesting, the high subscription cost is a significant drawback. I'd love to hear from someone who has actual experience with the device before investing.

That's pretty much where I landed. It's nice that there is a device that does not require glue. Someone else will create something similar, and then there will be competition. There is no reason to jump onboard now.

Also, they have steps to their program. If there is something that you are specifically interested in, you can't access it until you complete earlier steps.

Insight Timer is $60 per year, has tons of content, and let's me do whatever I want to do without restriction. I'll stick with guided meditations for now.

Exactly! I'm glad we're on the same page about being cautious with the marketing hype. The lack of flexibility in their program is also a major turnoff for me. I'd rather have the freedom to explore different content and features without being restricted by a step-by-step approach. Insight Timer is definitely a more appealing option for now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
